He struck out 12 Diamondback hitters but was unlucky to be saddled with the loss. In the 6th he walked Ojeda and then Upton took the first pitch he saw over the fence for a 420+ foot HR. Peavy pitched well enough to win, but his offense didn't back him up.

Jon Garland RHP Diamondbacks 7IP 3H 3BB 2K
He was able to mix his pitches well and his sinker was very effective (9 ground ball outs). He threw strikes and had the best start of his season. He looks like a solid #3 or 4 starter.

Justin Upton RF Diamondbacks 2-4 2HR, 3RBI, OF Assist
This game was the Justin Upton show. He hit two LONG HRs: One to LCF and the other to dead CF. Not only did he create all three of Arizona's runs, he also threw out Henry Blanco at home plate. Blanco was tagging up and tried to score on a SAC Fly, but Upton threw him out by a large margin. He is one of the best young players in the game today.
